Associate Degree Nursing Program in WSOC: Eligibility and Admission Process
Admission to the course of Associate Degree Nursing Program conducted by Western Oklahoma State College is carried out on the basis of Evolve Reach Admission Assessment Exam. Graduates who have studied Biology as a subject are eligible to apply for this course. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 80% marks in admission exam. There will be questions from topics such as Mathematics, English and Biology.
Eligibility Criterion for WSOC Associate Degree Nursing Program
Graduation is the minimum educational qualification required for this course. Apart from this, candidates should have studied biology as a subject in graduation or in Higher Secondary course. Those who have completed graduation in science subjects will get preference. Candidates should have minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5 in High School Program. Apart from this those who have secured Grade Point Average of 2 for Biology subjects in Higher Secondary course are eligible to apply.
Admission Process for WSOC Associate Degree Nursing Program
Admission to the course is carried out on the basis of performance in entrance exam; Evolve Reach Admission Assessment Exam. There will be questions from the following academic areas such as
- Basic Math Skills
- Vocabulary & General Knowledge
- Grammar
- Chemistry
- Personality Profile
- Learning Style
- Reading Comprehension
- Biology
- Anatomy
- Physiology
Of these most of the questions will be asked from Vocabulary & General Knowledge, Grammar and Basic Math Skills.
This pre entrance nursing exam is carried out in the month of February every year. Candidates are required to pay $35.00 as examination fee. Fee payment can be done by cash along with completed admission exam form in the business office of Western Oklahoma State College. In addition to this candidates can make the fee payment online by using credit cards. Admission exam is scheduled in 8 days. Time duration allotted for answering all questions is 4 hours. Candidates have the opportunity to select the convenient day for examination. Detailed notification regarding the exam time table can be obtained from the official website of the Institute.
Candidates are allowed to bring basic calculators for the exam. They are not supposed to bring scientific calculators. Apart from this, no food and drinks are allowed during the examination. Mobile phones are prohibited in the exam hall. Aspirants are required to produce a valid photo ID card to examination.
Candidates will be allowed for a maximum of 3 attempts to clear the examination. They are required to secure a minimum of 80% marks in the admission test so as to be eligible. There is no sectional cut off in the test.
