Training and Placement cell of Nagesh Karajagi Orchid College of Engineering and Technology (NKOCET) organize soft skill training aimed at improving the team management skills, communication skills, presentation skills, team building, leadership skills etc of the students. Final year students can take part in campus placement activities provided they qualify the placement test. Students will be selected for the Personal Interview only if they clear Group Discussion round.

Training facilities

The training cell in Nagesh Karajagi Orchid College of Engineering & Technology provides specific area based training to the students. The college aims to provide special training facilities to the students in order to enable them to meet the industry job requirements. Apart from the academic skills, NKOCET focuses on those additional skills and training activities which may prove to be important in the job market.  NKOCET provides the following training facilities for the students –

Entrepreneurship Development cell – The training in this area is given to educate the students about the importance of entrepreneurship related skills. The entrepreneurship skill training gives in knowledge to the students to start up a business enterprise.

Study abroad cell – This cell gives specific details to the students regarding GMAT/ TOEFL/GRE/ IELTS examinations along with the application procedure for those exams. Students also need to study one foreign language. Students are also given details about the different admission procedures for joining higher studies in foreign universities.

Special classes – Special classes are arranged to enrich the knowledge level of the students in different subjects opted.

Placement Procedure

The campus placement procedure followed in NKOCET will be in accordance with the recruitment policies of the college. As part of the campus placement procedure, placement test needs to be cleared by final year graduates. A compulsory registration with the Placement Coordinator at the college is essential to take part in the placement activities. As part of the registration, it is necessary for students to give a written undertaking in the specified format requesting for placement help to the Placement Coordinator at NKOCET.  The placement procedure necessitates candidates to submit their biodata copies to the Placement officer. In addition to this, students also need to submit pass port size photos to the Placement officer. It is compulsory for students to submit biodata and other prescribed documents within the time frame specified. Candidates resume will be screened as a first step. Candidates who get selected in the first level of selection will be given chance to attend Group Discussion.  On qualifying Group Discussion stage, for Personal Interview (which includes an HR and Technical interview round) will be the final selection procedure.
