Admission to B.Tech courses are done on the basis of entrance test like WBJEE and AIEEE and that for nautical science on the basis of 12th class marks. Admission Process for Under Graduate Courses in NITMAS

Candidates having completed 10+2 examination from a recognized board can look for admission to B.Tech degree. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects in XII class. Admission to the course is done on the basis of entrance test like WBJEE and AIEEE. HSC passed candidates having studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects, can seek admission to bachelor degree in Nautical Science. Admission process is direct and is merit based. Marks obtained in 12th acts as the basis for admission.

Candidates need to have certain additional qualifications to apply for B.Tech in Marine Engineering and Bachelor of Nautical Science. They should have passed HSC with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Such candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in 10th and 12th class examinations. Upper age limit is 25 years. They should be physically fit with good eyesight.

Admission Process for Post Graduate Courses in NITMAS

Engineering graduates from any of the recognized institutions can apply for M.Tech in the concerned subject.  Admission process is direct and is merit based. Marks obtained in entrance test like PGET or GATE is considered for admission. Allocation of seats is done through the counseling sections organized by the Central Selection Committee.
