Hello My Friend,
Of course You Can join Merchant as a Deck Cadet even if u belong from commerce back ground. But not all institutes allow commerce students for the same course. But u can still find Institutes offering Deck Cadet course for both commerce and science students.
One of my friend is already working as a deck cadet and was from commerce back ground.So, dont b frustrated and go for it.

=> Sorry to say, you cannot attend for merchant navy..
=> As you are from commerce stream..you cannot opt for merchant navy..
=> Merchant navy takes the person who are from maths and science stream..
=> So you are not eligible to do this course friend..
=> But you have other options like Chartered accountancy course..
=> And you can also opt for B.COM graduation.. and try to get good and high paying jobs...
=> Think and take the decision based on your interest...

Commerce students are not eligible for Merchant Navy. You need science stream for merchant navy.

You can complete the 10 2 or any equivalent course with science stream only. Candidate need physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects compulsory for Merchant Navy.

Percentage not required for this exam.

Final year appearing candidates are also eligible.
