NDA stands for National Defence Academy and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Twice in a year and to apply for this examination, you have to complete your 12Th examination from a recognised Board, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for NDA Examination.

Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible for National Defence Academy examination.

Sorry to say that You are not eligible for NDA exam because your age is now 16.Also you have not completed 12th standard.

No you cannot do like that because the elegilibity for the NDA exams are as follow.
(A) Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India.

(B) Age: According to the upsc NDA 2011 examination rules the candidates born not earlier than 2nd july,1993 and not later than 1st January ,1996 unmarried male are eligible.

Sex: only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

(C)Educational qualifications:

(i)For Army wing of National Defence Academy: A candidate must have passed 10and+2 educational level.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy: A candidate must have passed 10and+2 educational level with physics and mathematics subjects. Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class under the 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent can also apply.

(D)Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit and medically according to physical standards for admission to to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.

NO, you are not eligible for N.D.A at the age of 16 year.

N.D.A strand for National Defence Academy.

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with any subject from recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year

There are 3 steps of selection:-
-Written exam.
-Interview
-medical exam.

To appear for NDA exam,you should have complete 12th class/appearing for final exam of 12th class with PCM stream and your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

So as you are not fulfilled with criteria,now you are not eligible for NDA exam.
You can eligible for NDA exam next year.

NDA exam notification will release in the month of December an May every year.
And exam will held on April and August month every year respectively.

It conducts twice in a year(april and september) by upsc.

Can I give NDA exam at an age of 16 years and while studying in 11th?

Minimum eligibility require to Appear in NDA exam is:-

-A candidate should be "12th pass".

-Age should be from 16.5 to 19 years.

-A candidate should be unmarried.

-An Indian citizen is eligible.



You need to pass your 12th class and then you can definitely appear for NDA exam.

WHAT PHYSICAL ELEGIBILITY(HEIGHT,WEIGHT) SHOULD BE THERE TO JOIN NDA?

A minimum of 16.5 years required to join NDA.

*Candidate pass 12th science with math,physica,chemistry as subject

*Age- 16.5 to 19 years

Age relaxation as on Government rules........

So according to Eligibility criteria you can not eligible for seat in Exam

But in the next year you eligible for that...

No, you are not eligible to apply for NDA at the age of 16 years while studying in 11th.

NDA -NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by upsc twice every year for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NDA:-

-The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male.
-Should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board.
-Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years.
-Should possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.
