Central University of Punjab was established in the year 2009 as a central university. President of India is the Chancellor of the university while Dr. Jairup Singh is the Vice Chancellor of the university. The university actually came into existence through an Act of Parliament named The Central Universities Act, 2009 by Government of India. The campus of the university is spreaded in a vast area of around 500 acres. The transit campus of the university is located at Bhatinda. The university provides various academic programs in the field of Bio Science, Environmental Science and Technology, Comparative Literature etc.

Job Profile:

Central University of Punjab is inviting applications for the post of Professors and Associate Professors on deputation for a period of six months and Assistant Professors on purely temporary basis for a period of one year. The posts are available in the areas of Environmental Science and Technology, Chemical Phramaceutical Sciences, Genetic Disease and Molecular Medicine, Green Architecture and Landscape Design, Comparative Literature, Social Studies (Developmental Economics), Computational Sciences, Computer Science and Technology and Environmental Law.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to within the prescribed age limit set for the specified posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor as per UGC rules. Candidates should not have age more than the maximum age limit set for the post for which they are applying. Also the age of candidates should not be less thn the minimum age limit set.

Educational Qualification:

Interested candidates should have the educational qualification as per UGC rules. For all the specified posts i.e. Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor, Ph.D. degree is required to be attained by the candidates. Candidates applying for the post of Assistant professor are also required to have cleared NET or SLET examination.

Pay Scale:

Professor: Rs. 39100-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.
Associate Professor: Rs. 39100-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.
Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

An amount of Rs. 100 is need to be submitted as application fee by all the interested candidates. The amount of application fee is same for all the specified posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The application fee must be paid through appropriate channel only.

Selection Process:

Interested as well as eligible candidates should attend the walk-in-interview on the specified date. Central University of Punjab will organize this walk-in-interview on a specified date for making selection of candidates on the faculty positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various areas.
