The institute has campus spreaded over an area of 520 acres in Kamand. The institute is an autonomous body which is the youngest Indian Institute of Technology in India. The institute was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The permanent campus of the institute is under construction along Uhl River. The posts of Assistant Professor are available on contrcat basis only. Vacancies are available in School of Computing, Electrical Engineering and School of Engineering (Solid Mechanics, Engineering Design and Manufacturing). All posts are tenable at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

1. Recruitment of Professor:
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant area with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalnet at the presceeding degree from a recognized university. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout their educational career.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10500.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant area with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalnet at the presceeding degree from a recognized university. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout their educational career.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9500.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant area with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalnet at the presceeding degree from a recognized university. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout their educational career.
Pay Scale: Rs. 16500-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

4. Recruitment of Assistant Professor (on Contract):
Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant area with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or equivalnet at the presceeding degree from a recognized university. Candidates should possess a good academic record throughout their educational career.
Pay Scale: Rs. 16500-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates will be made through the conduct of a Interview Test on a specified date. A selection committee will take the interview test of eligible or shortlisted candidates. Uneligible candidates will not be allowed to appear in the interview test under any circumstances.
