Tezpur University came into existance in the year 1994 as an Indian Central University. The university is located at Texpur, Assam. Mr. Janaki Ballabh Patnaik, who is also the Governor of Assam, is the current chancellor of the university. Professor Mihir K. Chaudhary is the Vice Chancellor of the university at present. The university has a rural campus. The establishment of the university was resulted by an Act of parliament. The university is known for promoting national intergration and also for offering courses related to the emerging areas in Science and technology.

Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 24 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: Only 22 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates should meet with all the eligibility conditions set for the above specified faculty positions in Tezpur University. Candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit set for their desired post. Also, the candidates should possess the minimum educational qualification required for the post. Those candidates, who does not meet with the eligibility conditions set for the desired post, should not apply in Tezpur University as their application will not be considered by the university.

Application Fee:

No application fee is required to be paid at the time of submission of application form. But candidates will have submit a non refundable application fee of Rs. 500, if they are called for the interview test. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from the payment of this application fee. The submission of the prescribed amount of application fee must be done through a Demand Draft. The demand draft should be drawn on any nationalised bank. The demand draft should be made in favour of The Registrar, Tezpur University payable at Tezpur.

Selection Process:

The final selection of eligible candidates will be made only on the basis of the result of Personal Interview test against Selection Committee that will be held on a specified date.
