Defence Research and Development Organisation was formed in the year 1958 under the Government of India. The headquarter of the organisation is located at New Delhi. Job Profile:

Posts of Scientist ‘E’ are available in the disciplines of Naval Architecture and Mechanical/ Aeronautical Engineering.

1. Recruitment of Scientist E:

Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

Posts of Scientist ‘D’ are available in the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering.

2. Recruitment of Scientist D:

Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 45 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

Posts of Scientist ‘D’ are available in the disciplines of Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ ECE, Computer Science & Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

3. Recruitment of Scientist C:
No. of posts: Only 8 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 35 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

Posts of Scientist ‘B’ are available in the disciplines of Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Life Science and Maths.

4. Recruitment of Scientist B:
No. of posts: Only 18 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should have age less than 28 years.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 50 only. Application fee should be paid by General and OBC candidates only as candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH categories are exempted from the payment. Women candidates are also exempted from the payment of application fee. The application fee should be paid through online mode only.
