Defence Research and Development Organization is also known as DRDO. All the operations in the organisation is actually performed under the supervision of Ministry of Defence which i turn comes under the Government of India. The organization is a famous premier company which mainly deals in the field of manufacturing, designing and development of armed weapons for Indian Defence Services. Defence Research and Development Organization is also famous for manufacturing as well as developing various allied products for the benefits of Indian defence services.
Job Profile:
Defence Research & Development Organisation is inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates on the vacant positions of Senior Technical Assistant - ‘B’. Recruitment of candidates will be made through the DRDO Entry Test-2012 only. Posts of Senior Technical Assistant are availbale for the subjects of Automobile Engineering, Botany, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Library Science, Food Science, Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Rubber technology, Photography, Veterinary Science, Mettalurgical Engineering etc.
Eligibility:
Candidates must strictly follow the below mentioned age criteria for being eligible for the posts of Senior Technical Assistant.
The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on the closing date of application.
The minimum age limit set for the post is 28 years as on the closing date of application.
However, relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC/ ESM/ PWD etc) as per the rules of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
All interested candidates are required to possess the minimum educational qualification set for the posts of Senior Technical Assistant i.e.
For Engineering subjects: Candidates must hold three year Diploma in the concerned Engineering discipline from a recognized institute or board.
For all other subjects: The minimum educational qualification required for the post is B.Sc. in the concerned subject from a recognized institute or university.
No. of posts: Total 227 posts are available.
Posts available for General candidates: 136 posts.
Posts available for Scheduled Caste candidates: 29 posts.
Posts available for Scheduled Tribes candidates: 14 posts.
Posts available for OBC candidates: 48 posts.
No. of posts: Selected candidates will be paid the prescribed salary i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
Application Fee:
A non refundable amount of application fee i.e. Rs. 50 is need to be paid by the interested candidates through Indian Potal Order only. The Indian Postal Order should be made in favour of
The Director, CEPTAM, Delhi payable at Delhi.
No other mode of payment of application fee is accepatble other than IPO. However, candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ ESM/ PWD categories are exempted from the payment of application fee.
How to apply: Candidates should apply on a white plain A4 size paper only. Application form should be in the prescribed format and should be complete in all respect.
