The Tagore Engineering College is in Chennai. It is approved by AICTE and is recognized by the Government of India. The college was founded by the Tagore Educational Trust, a non profit organization, in the year 1998. The institute is well connected by road and by rail.

Campus

The campus of the college is spread over a hug area of about 45 acres of land. There are separate buildings for engineering, management and administration. There are also separate buildings for the laboratories and other thengs of the different department of the Engineering block. There are hostel facilities available for both the boys and the girls in the college. there are separate building for the hostels of boys and girls. They hostels are well maintained with proper food and sanitation and water facility. The college also has a full time medical center for the students and a MBBS doctor attending to the students.

Courses Offered

The college offers basically two different courses, the Under Graduate Course and the Post Graduate Course. Under the first one it offers B.E. Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. The college offers Post Graduate course that is M.E.in Computer Science and Engineering and Master if Business Administration program.

Admission Procedure

For admission to the Engineering department there is the eligibility of 50% marks and the entrance examination by the state and for the MBA one has to have a bachelors degree in any of the department by a recognized college.

Placements

The placement of the college is a very good one with major software and management companies and other firms recruiting students.
