Directorate General Border Security Force is a renowned security force which came into existence on December 1, 1965 under the Government of India. The force actually came under the control of Ministry of Home Affairs. The headquarters of the Border Security Force is located in the state of Delhi. Mr. Raman Srivastava is on the position of Director General in the Border Security Force. The fore has proved itself as an important component of the paramilitary forces of India. The force is determined to guard the international borders of the country during peacetime and also to prevent translational crime in the country.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for filling up the vacant posts of Inspector (Architect) and Senior Inspector/ Junior Engineer in Directorate General Border Security Force. The posts of Senior Inspector are available in the disciplines of Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering. Number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per the requirment of force.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the desired position in Directorate General Border Security Force. Candidates belonging to reserved categories may get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years while OBC candidates will get relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation is the minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the candidates for applying for the posts of Inspector and Senior Inspector in Directorate General Border Security Force. Candidates having qualification less than the prescribed one, will not be considered eligible for the specified posts. Candidates with additional qualification may get preference over others.

Pay Scale:

Inspector (Architect): Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Senior Inspector/ Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Selection Process:

Selection of best suitable candidates will be made through the conduct of a Written Examination followed by a Personal Interview Test. Candidates will have to successfully qualify in both the stages of the selection process for being considered at the time of final selections.
