Annamalai University is well known for the distance education courses it provides. The university is one of the largest universities of our country. It is situated in Annamalainagar, near the historic town of Chidambaram. The university provides a full range of courses- both undergraduate and postgraduate. The university is first in our country to provide postgraduate courses in distance education form. Annamalai university also offers MBA in many streams. One such stream in which MBA is offered is Applied Management. The course is a two year one. In the second year of the course there is a paper on Commercial and mercantile law. The pattern of the paper is given below.

The exam of the subject is of three hours time duration and the maximum marks are 75. There are four sections in the paper. Section A consists of short answer type questions. There are eight questions in this section out of which five are to be answered. Each question carries three marks.

Section B consists of long answer type questions. Five questions are there in this section out of which three are to be answered. Each question carries 10 marks.

Section C has essay type questions. Students have to answer any one out of the three questions given.  Each question is of 15 marks.

The last section consists of a single compulsory question, which is also of 15 marks.
