Annamalai University is one of the top ranking universities of our country. The university has a lush green campus in Annamalainagar, near Chidambaram. Annamalai University is a pioneer in distant education. The university offers both under graduate and postgraduate courses in a host of subjects. The university also offers a degree course in fashion design (B.Sc. Fashion Design). The duration of the course is 3 years. In the first year of the course there is a paper on History of Indian Costume. This paper is vital with respect to the study of the course. The pattern of the paper has been described below.

The paper is of 60 marks in total and the time allotted for the test is 3 hors. The questions are conventional types. There are three sections in the paper. The first section consists of objective type questions. This section carries 10 marks. Section B consists of ten questions. Students have to answer any five. Each question carries 4 marks. The third section consists of five questions out of which three are to be answered. These questions are essay type questions. Each question carries 10 marks.
