The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade conducts the exam for candidates who wish to take up the MBA course. The institute has centers in Delhi and Kolkata.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum qualification required to appear for the entrance test is graduation. There is no restriction on the field chosen for graduation. The only condition is that it should be from a recognized university or board. The candidates are required to submit the proof of qualification at the time of application.

Application Procedure

Candidates have to appear for the Common Entrance Test in addition to a personal Interview which is conducted for the requisite information needed for the course. The candidates have the option to apply either through online or offline method.

Online method

The application form is available on the official site of IIFT.

Offline method

The prospectus and the application form can be obtained from IIFT Delhi Centre only on all working days. It can be bought directly on cash payment of Rs. 1,500/- for the general category, Rs. 750/- for SC/ST/PH candidates and Rs. 3,000/- for candidates who are NRI or children of NRI from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. The application form can be secured through post also. Candidate needs to send a request letter along with a demand draft of Rs. 1500/- (payable at New Delhi) to the institute. It should be enclosed with two self addressed adhesive stickers. Candidates who belong to the SC/ST/PH category should attach the requisite category certificate along with their forms while applying either way.

Filling the Application Form

• The prospectus must be read thoroughly before the completion of the form.
• The form must be completed in BLOCK letters only in the Candidates handwriting.
• The candidate needs to duly check if he/she has got the application form prospectus, attendance sheet, computer registration sheet, admit card, and acknowledgment card.
• The filled form has to be sent along with a set of documents mentioned in the prospectus.
• Recent passport size photographs of the candidate should be pasted on the admit card attendance sheet and application form accordingly.
• An attested photocopy of the matriculation certificate
• An attested photocopy of the XII certificate
• An attested copy of the Graduation certificate (Candidates who are waiting for their results should provide a certificate from the head of their institution.)
