DUCEE or University of Delhi-Combined Entrance Exam is conducted by the University of Delhi for students seeking admission in various courses of Bachelor of Engineering in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subash Institute of Technology.

It conducts this entrance examination for admission into Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Production & Industrial Engineering, Polymer Science & Chemical Technology, Bio-technology and Civil Engineering.

Admission Procedure Details:

The selection of the candidates for admission to the courses is purely made on the basis of marks obtained in DUCEE and it is so especially in the case of students from Delhi region. For the students from outside Delhi region, the selection is based on their performance in AIEEE examination. If two candidates have secured equal marks either in AIEEE/DUCEE examination, both of them will be given equal importance in the process of admission. In the event of marks of PCM being equal, the candidate born earlier will be given preference. The applicants who stand out in merit list of CEE will be eligible to take admission

Similarly 85% of the seats are reserved for those who belong to Delhi and rest 15% is for candidates from outside Delhi. In this, 15% of the seats are booked for SC in every institute, 7.5% are booked for ST in every institute, 5% seats are booked for the children of freedom fighters, armed forces personals who were killed while hostiles and the remaining 3% is booked for physically handicapped candidates.

Pattern of DUCEE:

The pattern for DUCEE is the same as any other engineering aptitude test and so it contains questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The DUCEE question paper consists of three papers-Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is an objective type of test which is conducted for 240 marks.

Eligibility for DUCEE:

A student who wishes to appear for DUCEE should have passed the 12th class examination from Central Board of Secondary Education and should have scored minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics group. The students who belong to SC/ST category should have to secure only 50% of minimum marks as 10% relaxation is provided to them. A candidate should be at the minimum age of 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.
