M.Tech in Thermal Engineering
Thermal Engineering is fast growing field in India. Every year sees a growth of the number of students applying for this course. This technical course is offered by well reputed institutes in India and abroad. It is mostly available as thermal and power engineering in many colleges.
Eligibility
It is mandatory to have a Bachelors’ in Engineering or a B.tech in a related field in order to be eligible for the said course. There will be an entrance examination as well. However, all the students who have successfully cleared the GATE Examination are exempted from the entrance exam in some colleges. A number of scholarships are also offered to the deserving candidates.
Course Outlook
The duration of the course is 2 years comprising of 4 semesters inclusive of theory and practical work. The student is expected to secure a minimum 60% score in each semester. Some colleges even offer part time courses in this field. Seminars and dissertations also form part of the course.
Job Prospects
There are opportunities for placement in reputed companies in prestigious colleges. The post graduates have an increased scope in leading companies like McCoy Thermotech and others.
