Bank of India was set up in September 1906 by a group of renowned businessmen belonging to Mumbai. The Bank remained under private ownership till July 1969. After that, the bank was nationalized along with 13 other banks. It includes 3101 branches throughout India with 141 specialized branches. The bank also includes 29 branches/ offices in abroad. All the branches of the bank are controlled through 48 Zonal Offices. It owns the pride as the first nationalized bank to launch fully computerized branch and ATM facility at Mumbai. The Bank also introduced SWIFT in India, as well as Health Code System.

Bank of India invites applications for the post of General Banking Officer (Scale I).

Eligibility:
Age Criteria: Candidates must be between the age group of 21 and 30 and the upper and lower age limit is relaxable according to rules.
Educational Qualification: Indian citizens having Graduate degree with minimum 60% marks in aggregate from UGC recognized University. For further details about the eligibility refer the bank’s website. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Selection Process:
The selection of the post is through written examination and personal interview. For details of written test refer the bank’s website.

Application Fee:
GEN. / OBC candidates must pay application fee of Rs. 400 in any of Bank of India Branches by computer-generated challan. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen.
Security Deposit:
Candidates selected for appointment in the Bank will have to pay a Security Deposit of Rs.20,000.
