The Subordinate Services Commission that was set up on 4th November, 1975 was re-designated as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) from the 26th September, 1977. The primary role of SSC is to recruit eligible candidates for various Class III (now Group “C”) (non-technical) posts in the various Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India and in Subordinate Offices.

Job Profile:

Staff Selection Commission invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Civil Engineer in Central Water Commission (CWC).

No. of posts: 99

Pay Scale – Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The maximum age limit is 32 yrs.

Qualification and experience – The candidate must have Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute.

Application Fee:

Rs. 100. No fees for women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PH and ex-servicemen. The candidates sending application through post must pay the fees by ‘Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)’ available at the counter of all Departmental post Offices. The candidates sending on-line application must pay the fee through State Bank of India (SBI) challan or using on-line payment facility of SBI.
