The University of Delhi Bachelors’ in French First Year Papers are a total of two papers. Paper I deals with the grammar and communicative aspect of the language while the second paper is aimed at assessing the writing skills of the students. Paper one is of 70 marks to be written in three hours while paper II is of 75 marks again with the same time limit of three hours. In the first paper, a number of topics on grammar are asked. It is an all objective type question paper. However, there are no multiple choice questions or the like.

In Paper II, there are two reading comprehensions and letter writing and essay writing. There could also be a question on translate into Spanish or vv, make questions for the following, make sentences from the following phrases etc. The marks allotted for each one of them is given alongside the questions itself.
