List of Courses in Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat
Assam Agricultural University holds the pride of being the first university of its kind in the north-eastern part of the country. The establishment of two research stations each at Titabor and Karimganj during the year 1913 and 1923 paved the way for establishment of Assam Veterinary College and Assam Agricultural College in the year 1948 and later in the year 1969 the agricultural college was converted as Agricultural University. It is offering education through its constituent colleges in the fields of veterinary science, agriculture, fisheries and home science under UG, PG and doctoral levels. The jurisdiction of this university is spread over the whole state of Assam with respect to research, teaching and extension education. There are totally 10 colleges coming under the jurisdiction of Assam Agricultural University and out of these 10 colleges, three colleges belong to the faculty of agriculture, three colleges belong to the faculty of veterinary science, two colleges belong to home science faculty and two colleges belong to the faculty of fisheries sciences.
