The University of Kerala offers the course of M.D in Anesthesiology. The course is three year in duration and has more than ten papers. The names of the few of them are:

•    Applied Basic Science in relation to Anesthesiology - Paper I
•    Clinical Anesthesiology I - Paper II
•    Clinical Anesthesiology II - Paper III
•    Clinical Medicine in relation to Anesthesia including Recent Advances - Paper IV

Each of the papers carries a total of one hundred marks and has three hours duration. Each of the paper has three main questions. No options are offered and candidates have to attempt all of them. The First main question is twenty five marks. It is usually a two sub-questions and the first is ten marks and the second is of fifteen marks. The second main question carries the same pattern.

The third main question carries a total of fifty marks. There are five sub-questions within it, each carrying a total of ten marks. Candidates are advised to provide nice and neat diagram along with each of the questions. Candidates are also advised to go through different previous year held question in order to secure a high marks in the theory paper.
