Netaji Subhas Open University offers the course of M.Com or PG based course in Commerce. There are twenty papers in the course structure and the name of the first paper or Paper 1 is Principles & Practice of Management. The paper has a maximum of fifty marks and has duration of two hours. The paper is divided into two modules, namely Module 1 and Module 2. Each of the Modules carries a maximum of twenty-five marks. There are four part of the firsts module, the names of which are Management, Planning, Organization and Motivation. There are three parts in the second module, namely Leadership, Communication and Controlling.

Candidates should go through previous year question paper in order to retain the nature of the question in the paper as well as the pattern of the exam. The paper offers both subjective as well as objective question. Even Long answer based questions are expected to appear in the exam. Each of the main questions is divided into different number of short answer based question. Candidates should also go through different Mock based test in order to be perfectly ready for the exam and to secure very marks. Suggestions as per provided by the University also helps.
