Employees’ State Insurance Corporation was incorporated under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. The corporation was actually founded by the Central Government of India. The major objective behind the establishement of the corporation was to have a responsible body for protecting the interest and benefits of the workers in problems like Sickeness, Maternity etc. All such problems of the workers results in the loss of wages or earning capacity of the workers.

Job Profile:

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is recruiting eligible Indian Citizens through online registration, on the vacant positions of Stenographers. Candidates will get placed in the various offices of the corporation located in Kerala Region.

Eligibility:

Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 1 March 2011.
Maximum age limit set for the post is 27 years as on 1 March 2011.

There is age relaxation for the SC/ST category candidates as per Government of India rules.

Educational Qualification:

Higher Secondary Pass or 12th standard passed from any recognized board of Government of India. Also candidates should have a typing speed of 80 words per minute in English or Hindi. Working knowledge of Computer applications is also desirable for the specified post of Stenographer in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation.

No. of posts: There are 10 posts available in total.

(5 posts are for General candidates, 1 for SC and 4 posts for OBC category candidates. 1 post is also reserved for Ex-Serviceman.)

Pay Scale: Candidates will be paid salary under Pay Band-3 i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400. Selected canddiates will also get other admissible allowances.

Application Fee:

Interested candidates are required submit the application fee of amount Rs. 250. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category are not required to pay this application fee. Women candidates are Ex-Serviceman are also not bound to pay this application fee at all.

Selection Process:

The mode of selection in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is through a written test followed by typing test as well as computer skill test. Candidates will have to qualify in all of these tests for ensuring their selection on specified post. The written test will be organised or the centre of written test is Thrissur.
