Job Profile:

Young and energetics persons are invited to join Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as Executive Trainee in Electrical Discipline only. Few of the posts are reserved for SC/ST/OBC category candidates and Physically Handicapped category candidates.

Eligibility:

The upper age limit set for the post of Executive Trainee is 28 years as on 18 February 2011. There is no upper age limit set for the candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Educational Qualification:

Full time degree in B.E. or B.Tech or B.SC. (Engineering) or AMIE in Electrical Discpline from any recognized university or institute is required as the minimum educational qualification. Candidates should have obtained minimum 65% marks in aggregate. Candidates who are in the final semester of their degree course, can also apply for the post of Executive Trainee in Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get consolidated salary of Rs. 24900-50500 per month during the one year training period. Candidates will be paid the prescribed salary of Engineer after the successful completion of their training.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 400 is payable by candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. The application fee is totally non refundable. The application fee must be submitted through the means of a Demand Draft issued from State Bank of India. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited payable at New Delhi. Candidates should write their Name, Registration No., Post Applied for on the reverse of the bank draft.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of a written examination, Group Discussion and Interview. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the Written Test. Candidates, who get qualified in this written examination, will then be called for the Group Discussion and Interview.
