Biotechnology is a Science that combines Biology and Technology. It deals with the modification of processes or products by applying biological methods, living organisms and their derivatives. Now a days, the research science is applied in the plant world as well as animal life. Biotechnology is concerned mainly in the diagnosis of various diseases and developing new medicines. It is the experimentation of cells and bacteria in the industrial sector to make further inventions. The intrusion of this branch of Science in animal husbandry has improved animal breeding.

For joining the masters’ programme in biotechnology, one is required to have a bachelors’ degree in the respective fields. The duration of the post graduate courses in biotechnology will be basically two years. However, it will be different for different colleges or Universities.
