Nilamber Pitamber University is one of the new universities in India, which was established in the year 2009. Nilamber Pitamber University was established with the objective of offering quality education to the people belonging to the backward areas of the state of Jharkhand particularly for the future citizens belonging to the region of Palamu in which the university is located. The university is offering education through four of its constituent colleges and eight affiliated colleges under different faculties like arts, science and commerce. The university is having professional colleges like dental, engineering & technology and teacher education colleges under its jurisdiction to achieve its objective of offering quality education to the rural masses.
