Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) was established in 1823 as a medical school called “Ecole de Medicine de Pondichery”. The medical school was named as JIPMER on 13th July 1964. JIPMER is an Institution of National Importance and it works under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The primary aim of JIPMER is to impart quality education in both under-graduate and post-graduate medical and paramedical courses. The institute is also involved in research in the fields of modern medicine & health and medical education. The institute also aims to set trends in medical research and to offer high quality patient care service.

Pay Scale – Rs. 18750 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600 + other usual allowances

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The upper age limit is 33 yrs (Relaxable as per rules)

Qualification – The candidates must have be a Postgraduate Diploma/Degree holder in the faculty of medicine in the relevant speciality. Candidates having at least two years experience after M.B.B.S with one year experience in concerned specialty can also apply. The candidates must be a registered medical graduate of a recognized university.

Selection Process:

The candidates are selected for the post through written examination and interview.
