Clerk - Punjab Urban Planning & Development Authority (PUDA)
Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) is directly responsible for land acquisition, enforcement of regulations and income generation from the sale of plots and houses. The zonal office is the basic operation unit of PUDA.
The basic role of the zonal offices of PUDA are development of infrastructural facilities like bridges, roads, etc…, development of urban estate, urban planning through enforcement of urban development regulations & town planning, acquisition of land, maintain expenditures and revenues on construction and the obtain income from sale of urban estates to bring out consistency in the field of urban planning.
Each zone of PUDA operates as a ‘mini-PUDA’ and is headed by the Addl. Chief Administrator who is an IAS Officer. The zonal offices are configured to ensure sufficient coverage of PUDA’s activities to all seventeen districts of the state of Punjab.
