Panchayat Development Officers - Karnataka Public Service Commission
Karnataka Public Service Commission was established on 18th May, 1951 under the clause 14 of the Public Service Commission, Regulations 1950. The Commission was situated in the “United India” buildings in Bangalore till 20th May 1951, and then it was shifted to “Balabrooie” in Bangalore. In 1956, it was further shifted to the north wing of “Atarakacheri” in Bangalore.
Finally in 1968, it was shifted to the “Park House” at Vidhana Soudha in Bangalore. The commission includes 13 Chairmen and 64 Members who are appointed by the Karnataka Government. The Commission is involved in making selections to various posts in the State Civil Services. The Commission recruits candidates based on competitive examination & personality test, interview only or competitive examination only.
The CONSULTATION BRANCH of the Commission has the responsibility to facilitate expeditious disposal of proposals involving disciplinary and promotional cases. The branch is also involved in preparation of annual report of the Commission, furnishing information for news letter published by the UPSC, and correspondence with other state PSCS and Organizations on related matters.

Eligibility:
Age Criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years (Relaxable as per rules).
Educational Qualification and experience – The candidate must have done a graduation degree from any recognized University. For more details refer the Commission’s website.
Selection Process:
The selection process for the post is through written examination and interview.
