How to Prepare for UDC Exam?
The UDC, Divisional Auditors/Accountants Exam is carried out by UPC. This exam is for the right candidates in the positions of divisional auditors, accountants and upper division clerks etc. in different department of the Government service. In every year on March this exam is conducted for a huge number of aspirants. The minimum age is defined to be 18 years and the basic qualification required is bachelor degree in any discipline from a reputed university.
Structure of UDC Exam
The UDC exam is divided into four sessions. Each session carries out 50 marks and the students are asked to complete the exam within 120 minutes. The areas of questions are
- General awareness
- General intelligence
- Arithmetic
- Comprehension and writing ability in English
Syllabus for UDC Exam
General intelligence question is to assess the applicants ability in following the instructions and breaking up the similarities and differences, relevance etc. It also carries questions to check the quality in understanding the relations, reaching conclusions and related problems etc.
The general awareness is to examine the knowledge in different aspects. It carries questions about the current happenings, History and the culture of Indian Society etc. It also includes geography, experience and observations in important happenings and also about the general policies.
The arithmetic session is for to determine the potential capability in different mathematical operations like estimates, percentage, time and distance, ratio etc. The questions from tables and graph, proportion, averages, rounding numbers and mensuration etc. can be expected.
The Comprehension and writing ability in English is to analyse the potential capability in general English. It consists of questions from grammar, vocabulary, sentence constructions and antonyms and synonyms etc. There are many questions regarding the comprehension part and essay writing.

Study Plan for UDC Exam
The most important aspects in taking this type of exam is how you manage the given time so as to complete the maximum number of questions. For this first you need to have a clear idea about the topics and the related question. You should be well prepared to take this type of exams. Particularly the questions asked for the exams are simple, but only thing you need to understand the problem in a limited time constrains. So practice and practice more. You can take the help of mock questions and previous years. This will help you to understand your weak and strong areas and you can improve from there.
