Jai Narain Vyas Univesity also called as University of Jodhpur is located in the city of Jodhpur in the state of Rajasthan in India. The university was formed in the year 1962 by taking over four colleges that were running under the government of Rajasthan.

The university was accredited with A grade status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Since the university is situated in the famous Desert region in India, ‘the thar’, its research and developmental activities mainly focuses on challenges, society and heritage of this region. It is one of the biggest universities in Asia and also the western most university in the country.
