National Institute of Design is one of the pioneer design schools in India. Undergraduate Courses

  • Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) – Foundation programme – This is offered for the students to develop their basic skills in various design areas.

The four year UG programmes offered are

  • Industrial Design – This is a specific branch which includes the areas such as Product Design, Furniture & Interior Design, and Ceramic & Glass Design
  • Communication Design – This particular area of specialization includes Graphic Design, Animation Film Design, Film & Video Communication, and Exhibition (Spatial) Design

Structure of the courses offered in National Institute of Design

The courses offered in NID have numerous specializations from which students can choose their area of interest. The academic sessions will include both theoretical as well as the practical trainings. Evaluation process of various courses in National Institute of Design
