Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force was founded or established on October 24, 1962. The force is considered as the Indian Paramilitary Force which is responsible for the security along the borders of India with Tibet Autonomous Region of China, border. The force was re structured in the year 1978. The force is mainly trained in mountaneering, Diaster Management and Chemical Disasters etc. The force is actually a multi dimensional force with the main aim of checking illegal immigration and trans border smuggling. Job Profile:

Eligible Indian Citizens are invited to apply for the position of Constable (Telecommunication) in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. The post comes under the category of Group C Non Gazetted. Candidates will be recruited on temporary basis but are likely to become permanent in future. Candidates will be posted anywhere in India or even in abroad.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit i.e 18 years and also less than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 25 years. Candidates having age less than 18 years and more than 25 years, will not be considered eligible for the post at all. The upper age limit set for the post is relaxable by 5 years and 3 years for SC/St candidates and OBC category candidates, respectively.

Physical and Medical Standards:

Height and Chest: Height should be atleast 170 cms with chest 80 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion is must).
Weight: It should be corresponding to the hieght.
Eye Sight: Eye Sight should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction.

Educational Qualification:

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from any recognized board is the minimum educational qualification required for the post of Constable (Telecommunication) in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force. Candidates should have secured atleast 45% marks in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. 10th class passed candidates with two years Industrial Training Institute certificate in Electronics or Computer Science from a recognized institute, are also eligible for the post.

SC Category candidates: 20 posts.
ST Category candidates: 2 posts.
OBC Category candidates: 22 posts.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be provided the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.

Application Fee:

Rs. 50 is the amount of the application fee that is need to be paid by the General and OBC categories candidates. SC/ST candidates are not required to submit any kind of application fee. The application fee must be submitted through an Indian Postal Order/Bank Draft drawn in favour of Inspector General, North West Frontier, ITBP payable at SBI AFS CHandigarh Code No. 1495.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the specified post on the basis of their performance in the following three stages of the selection process:

i. Written Examination,
ii. Personal Interview Test and,
iii. Medical Fitness Test.
