Institute of company secretaries of India is one of the institutions in the country that provide various training programmes that will help the students to become the secretaries of various multinational companies. Those students who are part of the professional programme have to study strategic management alliances and International Trade and have to answer its exam.

About the paper

The paper is all about strategies that are to be adopted when dealing with international trade. This is a very important paper as far as the students of the professional programme are concerned.

Setting of question paper

The paper is totally descriptive. There is no a single multiple choice question in the paper. The paper consists of four sections. Section 1 is compulsory and all the questions from the section have to be answered. The rest of the sections also have to be answered but not all of the questions have to be answered. For the rest of the sections other than the first, internal choices are available and the candidates can choose the questions they have to answer from each section.

Pass percentage

The paper is marked out of 200 and the candidates need to score a minimum of 40% to pass the exam.  The candidates are given three hours for answering the questions. Before the exam begins, the candidates will be allotted 15 minutes of reading time. All the sections contribute equally to the marking system and the sub questions carry different marks.
