The main objectives of NIFTEM are to develop the managerial talent and latest advances in the field of food, science and technology. It also focuses on facilitating upcoming and new business for the processing of Fruits, Vegetables, Dairy, meat and grains. It also facilitates the networking within the country and international associations.

NIFTEM invites Vacancies for the following positions in various departments:

Departments of Basic and Applied Science, Food Business Management & Entrepreneurship, Food Science and Technology, Engineering, Agriculture and Environmental Science.

Professor:

No. of Vacancies – 05

Pay Scale – Rs. 37400/- – 67000/- plus AGP of Rs. 10000/-

Qualification required –

1. Eminent Scholar with Ph.D. The candidate should have the research published as per the norms indexed in ISBN/ISSN numbered journals.

2. Teaching experience of 10 years with reputed University / College. Research experience required at University / National level. The candidate should also have good skills in guiding the research students.

3. Experience of designing of course curriculum as per the teaching learning process.

4. Satisfactory Score as per API.

5. The age limit is 60 years.

Associate Professor :

No. of Vacancies – 03

Pay Scale – Rs. 37400/- – 67000/- plus AGP of Rs. 9000/-

Qualification required –

1. Excellent academic track record with Ph.D.

2. Minimum 55% of marks at Master Degree of the relevant subjects.

3. Minimum 8 years of experience of teaching with a reputed University / college in an equivalent position. The candidate should have preferably published minimum 5 publications as per the norms indexed in ISBN/ ISSN numbered journals.

4. Experience of designing of course curriculum as per the teaching learning process.

5. Satisfactory Score as per API.

6. The age limit is 50 years.

Assistant Professor :

No. of Vacancies – 05

pay Scale – Rs. 15600/-  – 39100/- plus AGP of Rs. 6000/-

Qualification required –

1. Excellent academic track record with a minimum 55% marks in the Master’s Degree in the relevant subject. An equivalent degree from the foreign university is also acceptable.

2. The candidate should clear National Eligibility test conducted by UGC, CSIR or any similar test accredited by UGC.

3. In case the candidate holds a Ph.D. degree it is an additional qualification.

4. The age limit is 40 years.
