Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited was initially known as UP Alparthak Evam Laghu Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited. The company was incorporated in the year 1985 as a Governmend owned company. The main idea behind its establishment was to establish and operate small, mini and micro hydel projects. Later on, the name of company i.e. UP Alparthak Evam Laghu Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited was changed to UP Laghu Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited. The company got its present name i.e. Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited in the year 1996. The company is operating all the hydro power plants present in the state of Uttarakhand.

Rs. 200 is need to be paid as application fee by SC/ST categories candidates. The application fee must be sent in the form of a demand draft only. The demand draft should be made in favour of UJVN Limited payable at Dehradun. Candidates should also write his/her name and also the name of the post at the backside of the Demand Draft.
