Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women is a deemed university which comes under the Section 3 of the UGC Act in the year 1988. The university was initially named after Dr. T. S. Avinashiligam as Sri Avinashilingam Home Science College for Women. The university initially started off with only 45 students. The university was renamed to Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women in the year 2008. The university follows the educationals ideals of some renowned personalities. There are total seven faculties in the university, all of which fucntions under the headship of a Dean.

Eligibility:

Educational Qualification:

Controller of Examination: Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent is required for the post. Candidates should also possess atleast 15 years of exeprience as Assistant Professor in an recognized university.

Pay Scale:

Assistant Professor: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Controller of Examination: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. SC/ST candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 25 only ( alongwith Community Certificate attached). The application fee is need to be submitted either in cash or in the form of a demand draft only. The demand draft should be made in favour of The Registrar, Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women, payable at Coimbatore.
