Central University of Karnataka was established by the Government of India during the UGC XI PLan Period. The main idea behind its establishment was to address to the concerns of ‘equity and access’. Increasing the access to the quality higher education by people in less developed districts, is also one of the main aim of the university since its establishment. The university has been handed over the 621 acres of land by the Karnataka State Government. The university is currently functioning from its temporary campus only, which is located at Gulbarga University campus.

Job Profile:

Central University of Karnataka is making recruitment of eligible candidates on the following positions of Estate Officer, Assistant Engineer, Security Officer, Assistant, Personal Assistant, Junior Engineer and Nurse. Recruitment of the candidates will be made on the regular basis.

1. Recruitment of Estate Officer:

Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with atleast 5 years of experience in construction and maintenance of Buildings and Estate Management.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Engineer:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 33 years.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering with atleast 5 years of experience in supervising Civil works.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

3. Recruitment of Security officer:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree or equivalent from a recognized university. Candidates should also have atleast 15 years of experience in Police/Paramilitary forces or Armed Forces of the Union.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

4. Recruitment of Assistant:

Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates should have good working knowledge of computer applications with 3 years experience as UDC.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

5. Recruitment of Personal Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline with proficiency in English. Candidates should have a good knowledge of computer applications with a typing speed of 40 words per minute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

6. Recruitment of Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical):

Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering with atleast 3 years of experience. Canddiates should also possess good working knowledge of computer applications.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

7. Recruitment of Nurse:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 30 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Rs. 300 is the amount of application fee that is need to be sent alongwith the application form by interested candidates. Submission of the application fee must be done by a crossed Demand Draft. The demand draft should be drawn in favour of Central University of Karnataka on any Nationalized Bank payable at Gulbarga.
