Defence Research and Development Organisation was formed in the year 1958 under the Government of India. The headquarter of the organisation is located at New Delhi. The organisation has the strength of around 30000 employees among which there are approximately 5000 scientists. The organisation is considered as one of the largest defence contractors and a leading aerospace manufacturer present in Asia. The organisation resulted after the merging of Technical Development Establishment and the Directorate of Technical Development and Production with the Defence Science Organisation.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and professional individuals for filling up the following positions of Junior Research Fellow and Research Associate in Defence Research & Development Establishment. Candidates are required to fulfill all the eligibility conditions set for the post (for which they are applying).

Eligibility:

The maximum age limit set for the post of Junior Research Fellow is 28 years.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Research Associate is 30 years.

Candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit or else their applications will not be accepted by Defence Research & Development Establishment.

Educational Qualification:

Junior Research Fellow: Candidates are required to possess atleast 60% marks in aggregate in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Research Associate: Candidates must have done M.Sc. degree with atleast 60% marks in aggregate and Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

No. of posts: Total 10 posts are available.

Junior Research Fellow: Only 7 posts are available.
Research Associate: Only 3 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Junior Research Fellow: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16000 per month.
Research Associate: Consolidated salary of Rs. 24000 per month.

Selection Process:

Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the interview test that will be taken by a Selection Committee on specified date. Candidates will be intimated about the date and venue of the interview test through the means of call letter.
