Company profile: Defence Research and Development Organization popularly known as DRDO works under the ministry of defence (govt. of India). It is dedicated to development and design of advanced weapon systems, defence equipments etc. It also works in areas like aero systems, naval technology, life sciences, simulations etc.  

Job profile: The research associate (RA) and the research fellows (RF) will be required to carry research in the field of polymers, mechanical and electronics engineering. They will be required to work on properties and characteristics of various substances. They will also be required to assist their seniors in various projects.

Eligibility: The age limit for a research associate is 30 years, for a junior research fellow it is 28 years and for a senior research fellow it is 32 years.

Educational Qualifications:

For RA – a candidate should have a PhD degree in polymer science to be eligible to apply.

For JRF – A degree in electronics engineering is required.

For SRF – A master’s degree in mechanical engineering with specialization in machine design/machine dynamics/analyses of mechanical systems is required.

No. of posts: There are 3 posts in total which include 1 post each for RA, JRF and SRF.

Pay scale: A research associate will be given a salary of Rs18000 per month + HRA, the JRF will be given Rs12000 per month + HRA for 2 years and Rs14000 + HRA henceforth and the SRF will be given Rs14000 per month + HRA for 2 years and Rs15000 after 2 years.

Selection process: The short listing of candidates will be done on the basis of qualifications and the short listed candidates will be called for an interview.
