Exam Pattern of the Material Science Entrance Exams

The exam pattern of the entrance test for postgraduate courses includes two parts. The first comprises questions on mathematics, reasoning, and English language. The second section of the entrance test includes questions based on the stream of study in graduation. The first section evaluates the analytical strength of the students where as the second section measures the knowledge of the candidate in the concerned subject of study. The Entrance exam for Doctor of Philosophy courses is solely based on the topics of master’s program undertaken by the candidate. Along with multiple-choice questions, the entrance test for PhD programs may also include descriptive type questions.
