B.Tech Electronics and Opportunities

Candidates choosing B.Tech in electronics need to pass their twelfth class with PCM and need to pass the entrance test so that they will be eligible to apply for the course. The duration of B.Tech course is for four years which consist of eight semesters. The candidates need to pass the examination at the end of every semester. Those candidates who pass all the examinations conducted till the last semester along with project viva examination will be awarded B.Tech degree. B.Sc Electronics and Opportunities

B.Sc in electronics is a three year course which is of six semesters. Candidates after successfully completing their course are awarded Bachelors degree in science. Those candidates who wish to study further can opt for M.Sc in electronics. They can take up a job in designing electronic goods, manufacturing etc. They are paid on the basis of job specification and the sector in which they are employed. There are numerous opportunities in the IT sector and the pay is also really high in the sector.

Key difference between B.Tech Electronics and B.Sc Electronics

• Both B.Tech and B.Sc covers same topics but the key difference is that B.Tech students need to study each topic in depth compared to BSc students.
• Duration also differs i.e. B. Tech is for four years and B.Sc is for three years. Engineers are also paid high compared to B.Sc graduates.
• B.Tech in electronics covers right from the designing, manufacturing and use of electronic equipments and devices whereas B.Sc in electronics is concerned with the theoretical and application of instruments and their process.
