Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University conducts an entrance exam called Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Medical Common Entrance Test (SBVUMCET) for the selection of the candidates to the under graduate medical courses under Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University. The colleges under taking their admission to the MBBS course through this entrance exam are Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (MGMCRI) and Shri Satya Sai Medical College and Research Institute. Each year numerous applicants apply for the test and join for the MBBS course.

Structure of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Medical Common Entrance Test - SBVUMCET

The admission for the MBBS course in Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University is done on the basis of a written test Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Medical Common Entrance Test - SBVUMCET.  The questions of the test are in objective type test format. The test consists of two papers of 200 questions. The duration of the test is two hours for each paper. The test includes questions from the topics of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology from the Higher Secondary Course Curriculum. Those who clear the written test will be selected for the first year MBBS course.

The Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Medical Common Entrance Test - SBVUMCET is a written test conducted as two sections. The first section includes questions from two papers of Physics and Chemistry and the second section includes questions from the subjects of Botany and Zoology.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must have to fulfill some eligibility conditions for applying for the Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University Medical Common Entrance Test - SBVUMCET. The candidates must have completed their Higher Secondary Examination or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board/university in Tamil Nadu or any equivalent Board. The SC/ST candidates have to secure 40% marks in the qualifying exam. The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and English subjects in their plus two classes. The candidates must have to attain 17 years of age at the time of the admission process.  They should also secure 50% marks in the Common Entrance Test for getting admission for the MBBS course.

How to Apply?

The Application and Information booklet for the SBVUMCET exam can be purchased directly from the office of the participating colleges against the cash payment of Rs.1000/- by cash. They can also obtain the application form by sending a request letter with a demand draft of Rs.1050/- in favour of “Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University”, payable at Puducherry. The candidates can download the application form from the website www.balajitrust.org.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates need to fill the form with great care without any mistakes. The candidates’ recent photograph must be pasted in the relevant column in the application form. The application form should not be stapled or folded. The duly filled form should reach the concerned authority before the due date.  The demand draft of Rs.1050/- should be send to the concerned University before the last date.
