National Green Tribunal is working under the Environment and Forests Ministry of Government of India and it is meant for handling issues pertaining to the environment.

Recruitment by National Green Tribunal:

National Green Tribunal has called for applications from eligible Indian citizens in prescribed format for the positions of Stenographer Grade C/Court Master and Assistant Registrar to be filled up at its zonal benches in Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and for its Principal Bench at New Delhi.

Name of the positions: Assistant Registrar, Stenographer Grade C/Court Master

Number of Vacancies: Total 26 vacancies are divided between the two positions as follows:

Assistant Registrar – 05 (one post each for zonal offices at Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and one post for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

Stenographer Grade C/Court Master– 21 (four posts each for zonal offices at Kolkata, Pune, Chennai and Bhopal and five posts for Principal Bench at New Delhi)

Pay scale: Pay scales for the positions are:

Assistant Registrar – PB-3 with Rs.15600-39100 & GP of Rs.6600

Stenographer Grade C/Court Master – PB-2 with Rs.9300-34800 & GP of Rs.4200

Educational Qualification & Experience:

Assistant Registrar: The position of Assistant registrar is going to be filled as 40% on deputation basis and 60% on merit cum seniority basis and candidates must be officers with a degree in law from a recognized university and they must be holding analogous position on regular basis in the tribunals/courts or state/central government or they must be in a position in central/state government organization or tribunals/courts with five years of regular service in the pay brand of PB-2

Stenographer Grade C/Court Master: 50% of the position is going to be filled on direct recruitment basis and remaining 50% will be filled based on merit cum seniority (written test and interview). In the case of direct recruitment, candidates must be degree holders in the field of law with not less than 55% of marks and they should possess 80 wpm speed in English shorthand with a transcription speed of 65 mts in English and 75 mts in Hindi on manual typewriter and 50 mts in English and 65 mts in Hindi on computer. For deputation basis recruitment, candidates must be graduates from a recognized university holding analogous position on regular basis on tribunals/courts/central government. Or they must have served in the position of Grade D stenographer/equivalent position with not less than 10 years of regular service in PB-1 and for both types of recruitment, it is essential that candidates must have undergone computer training course of at least 6 months duration from a recognized institution.
