Punjab Agricultural University was established in the year 1962 with the aim of serving the state of erstwhile Punjab. The university was started as a State Agricultural university in the country. The university has its campus located in Ludhiana spreaded in an area of 1510 acres. The university is considered as one of the best agricultural university present in Asia. The university is also an oldest one in the field of agriculture in India, after Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & technology, Pantnagar.

Punjab Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates for making recruitment on the following positions of Programme Assistant, Draftsman and Driver at KVKs. The post of Programme Assistant is available in the field of Lab Technician and Computer. All interested candidates should ensure their eligibility before applying for their desired post in Punjab Agricultural University.

1. Recruitment of Programme Assistant (Lab Technician) at KVKs:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 37 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required possess B.Sc. in Home Science or B.Sc. in Medical from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric Standard.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Recruitment of Programme Assistant (Computer) at KVKs:
No. of posts: Only 12 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 37 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required possess B.Sc. in Computer Application or Bachelor in Computer Application from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric Standard.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Draftsman:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 37 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required possess 10+2 with three years Diploma in Draftsmanship (Mechanical) from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric Standard.
Pay Scale: Rs. 10300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3800.

4. Recruitment of Driver at KVKs:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 37 years of age.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required possess Matriculation pass certificate from a recognized university. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric Standard. Candidates must also possess a valid driving license.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.

Application Fee:

Candidates must submit the prescribed amount of application fee in the form of a Demand Draft only. The demand draft should be made in favour of Comptroller, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana only.

For the post of Programme Assistant (Lab Technician/ Computer) and Draftsman: Rs. 300 is the amount of application fee.

For the post of Driver at KVKs: Rs. 200 is the amount of application fee.
