The Cochin University of Science and Technology is a pioneering technical university and it deals with quality based education. The university is best known for its study materials and its campus environment. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate level of courses to the aspiring candidates. The university set up the examination of control system Engineering Papers for the B.Tech in computer science engineering students.

What is taught in this Paper?

The students get proper introduction of different types of stability criterion, open loop and close loop systems etc from the Control System Engineering Papers. The students also get to know about the transfer function operations, C/R block diagram and force voltage analogy etc. The main motive of this paper is to give the detailed knowledge about the basics of control system.

Importance of this paper:

The 6th semester control system engineering papers deals with different transfer operations and is very much helpful for the students to enhance their knowledge in the control system fields. The paper includes simple derivation and Laplace transforms methods to solve the given problems.

Paper pattern:

The B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering 6th Sem Control System Engineering Papers holds a total of two types of patterns. First one is based on 2002 scheme which includes total of ten questions out of which five are compulsory for every student. The 2006 scheme includes two groups A and B respectively. The first part is compulsory for every candidate and from second part only four questions are compulsory.

Frequently asked questions:

The most frequent questions that are asked from this paper are Routh-Hurwitz Stability Criterion, properties of root loci and Mason’s Gain Formula, Bode Plot, Nyquist Plot, transfer equation of an armature controlled DC Motor, Definitions of phase margin and gain margin, PD, Pi and PID Controllers, sums related to evaluating various error constants Ka, Kp, Kc etc.

Time and marks:

The full time and marks allotted to each single candidate is three hours and 100 respectively.
