Haryana State Transport Department was established under the Government of Haryana. The main aim of the department is to provide efficient and ec-friendly modern transport services to the people of Harayan State. The department intend to function with the use of modern day Information technology and also with the involvment of private sector. Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hood is the present Chief Minister of Haryana and he is the one who is retiaining the charge of the Transport Department of Haryana state. Mr. Sultan Singh Jadola is the Chief Parliamentary Secretary of the department.

Job Profile:

Haryana State Transport is making recruitment on the following positions of Heavy Vehicle Driver and Conductor for Harayan Roadways City Bus Service in Gurgaon and Faridabad. Only eligible Male candidates are invited to apply for the above mentioned posts. Candidates will be recruited on specified positions purely on an annual contract basis. The period of the contract can be renewed depending on the satisfactory services of the candidates.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for both the posts i.e. Heavy Vehicle Driver and Conductor is 18 years while the maximum age limit is 40 years as on 2 December 2011. Candidates must have age within 18 to 40 years or else they will be considered uneligible for the posts. Age relaxation will be provided to the candidates belonging to reserved categories. Relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Heavy Vehicle Driver: Matriculation from a recognized board with Hindi or Sanskrit as main subjects is the minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the interested candidates. Candidates should also hold a transport vehicle driving licence alongwith minimum two years experience of driving a heavy good vehicle.

Conductor: Matriculation from a recognized board with Hindi or Sanskrit as main subjects is the minimum educational qualification required to be possessed by the interested candidates. Candidates should also hold a valid conductor’s license.

No. of posts: Total 1200 posts are available.

Heavy Vehicle Driver: 600 posts are available.
(Gurgaon-250 and Faridabad-350)

Conductor: 600 posts are available.
(Gurgaon-250 and Faridabad-350)

Pay Scale:

Heavy Vehicle Driver: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10000 per month.
Conductor: Consolidated salary of Rs. 8000 per month.

Application Fee:

Candidates must have to submit an application fee of Rs. 200 only. The application fee should be paid through a Demand Draft. The demand draft should be issued in favour of General manager, Haryana Roadways Gurgaon/ Faridabad payable at Gurgaon/ Faridabad. All interested candidates are required pay this application fee for applying on any of the two specified posts.
