Job Profile:

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (Gujarat) is going to recruit eligible Indian nationals on the vacant posts of Junior Telecom Officers depending on their qualification. This is a special recruitment drive for Persons with Disabilities. The vacancies are available in the disciplines of Telecom and Civil Engineering. The total no. of posts are subject to variation depending on the availability of vacancies.

Eligibility:

Candidates should not have age more than the prescribed upper age limit i.e. 30 years as on closing date of the reciept of applications. However, the upper age limit is relaxable for OC/ SC/ST/Ex-Servicmen/ Resident of J&K. BSNL Employees/Government Servants as per the rules of Government of India. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 15 years while OBC candidates will get relaxation of 13 years. OC candidates will get relaxation of 10 years. BSNL Employees and Government Servants will get relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess atleast Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology or equivalent from a recognized institute or university. Candidates must have done the degree in the disciplines of Telecommunication Engineering/ Electronics ENgineering/ Radio Engineering/ Computer Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Information Technology/ Instrumentation Engineering. Those candidates, who are appearing in the final year degree examination, are also eligible to apply (but they need to possess the qualification by 31 December 2011).

No. of posts: Total 25 posts are available.

Junior Telecom Officers (PWD(LI)): Only 11 posts are available.
Junior Telecom Officers (PWD(HI)): Only 14 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the consolidated amount of salary i.e. 16400-40500 per month.

Application Fee:

There is no application fee that needs to be submitted by the candidates as the posts are available for only Persons with Disabilities.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates will be made through the conduct of an Open Competitive Examination. The question paper will be of objective nature. For getting selected on the specified positions, candidates are required to appear and qualify in the competitive examination.
