The Government of India has established the Institute of Sugar Technology in the year 1936. The institute is situated in Kanpur. Some of the courses that are being offered in this institute are post-graduate diploma course of associate ship, post-graduate diploma course in industrial fermentation and alcohol and pre harvest cane maturity survey certificate course. The National Sugar Institute organizes entrance examination every year so as to admit the talented candidates to the Sugar Engineering course.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have completed their degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/Production Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or the course conducted by the Institute of Engineers are eligible to appear for the entrance examination.

How to apply?

Candidates are advised to download the application forms from the website of the National Sugar Institute once the notifications have been made. Students can also fill the application forms online. The online applicants have to submit the application forms online after filling it completely. The downloaded applications should be filled appropriately and send it to the specified address after attaching the demand draft of Rs 800/-. The applications must be sent to the “Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur” and it should be payable at SBI, Kalyanpur, Kanpur.

How to fill the form?

The candidates have to generate a studentship number for checking the eligibility online. Fill up the application form completely after downloading it from the website of the University. The duly filled forms must be sent along with all the necessary enclosures to the University. The candidates have to attach an attested passport size photograph on the space provided in the application form.
